About Us

Senior Christians Association is a Charitable Organisation registered in the year 1999, under the Travancore-Cochin act of 1955 for registering Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies. With 315 members in its roll, the Association is run by a Governing Council consisting of 15 members including 5 members of the Executive Committee. The Council members are elected by the general body of members once in two years. Additionally, there is a committee of 6 people for Charity Activities, who are nominated by the Governing Council.

Vision & Mission

Vision

Revive the age old values of honesty, mutual respect and concern for the aged by providing forums for organising seminars, discourses etc. for the benefits of all age groups.
Fight against all types of corruption in the society and stand against ill treatment and cruelty to underprivileged as an obligation and accountability before God and man.
Take up philanthropic and charitable projects and activities
Organize people, without any distinction of caste, creed or religious discrimination, for self-help activities and other endeavours, which will cater to the uplift of the society.
Strive for eradication of all kinds of violence and promote peace and harmony in the society.
Foster unity and understanding among Christian churches

Mission

To bring people together for the development of Social, Intellectual, Physical, Mental and Spiritual wellbeing and to inspire them with ideals of love, fraternity and service to all sections of the society, particularly to the poor and oppressed.
To promote and develop programs for physical, moral, social, cultural and physical advancement of the members and to channelize the talents and rich experience available among its members for wellbeing of all persons in the society, particularly the underprivileged and handicapped.
To make available Senior Fellowship centres and homes with recreational facilities, library and reading rooms, health centres, prayer cum retreat halls, counselling centres, leadership training centres, residential facilities including cafeteria, self-help activity centres and other endeavours of similar nature.
To purchase, taken on lease, hire, acquire, hold and sell and also transfer or lease any movable or immoveable property or any rights or privileges for the furtherance of the objectives of SCA.
