About Us
Senior Christians Association is a Charitable Organisation registered in the year 1999, under the Travancore-Cochin act of 1955 for registering Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies. With 315 members in its roll, the Association is run by a Governing Council consisting of 15 members including 5 members of the Executive Committee. The Council members are elected by the general body of members once in two years. Additionally, there is a committee of 6 people for Charity Activities, who are nominated by the Governing Council.
From its inception itself, Senior Christian Association had very prominent personalities at its helm, who steered and guided the Association towards its noble objectives of serving the society. Former Judges of Kerala High court, Justice Varghese Kalliath and Justice John Mathew, have served the Association as its Presidents. Renowned educationists, Dr. M V Paylee and Dr. Babu Joseph, (former Vice chancellors of Cochin University of Science and Technology), are the other two eminent personalities who served the Association as its Presidents. At present, Former Judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Kurian Joseph is the Patron of the organization, who provides guidance in all activities of the Association.
Location: The Association owns a spacious building covering over 12000 sq. feet of built-up area in 3 floors, at Thuthiyoor, Kakkanad. This building was built through the financial contribution of its members. The office of the association is situated in the same building bearing the following postal address: Adarsha road, Thuthiyoor, CSEZ P.O, Thrikkakara, Kochi, PIN. 682037
Membership: Any Christian, above 50 years of age, bearing good character and subscribing to the ideals of the association, is eligible to become a member after paying the stipulated membership fees. Also, non-Christians, bearing good character and subscribing to the ideals of the association are accepted as Associated members. Prominent members in the society are conferred Associated Membership. Retired Judge of Kerala High Court, Justice Kemal Pasha and Dr. Dileep Kumar, Former Vice chancellor of Sanskrit University, Kaladi, Prof. Leelavati are Associate Members of the Association.

Objectives Of The Association:
- To take up charitable and benevolent works to assist the poor and the destitute individuals in the society, irrespective of their religion, caste or creed.
- To provide and promote programs for physical, mental and intellectual wellbeing of the members in particular and the society at large.
- To fight against corruption in the society by joining hands with likeminded organizations.
- To strive for peace and tranquillity in the society by eradicating coercion and violence.
- To enlighten the young generation on the dangers of drug abuse and alcoholism.

As a person who conceptualized and strived to form the Senior Christian Association with the help and support from eminent members like the late Justice Varghese Kalliath,.late Prof.Antony issac, Shri Xavier Sebastian and others I am extremely happy to offer my best wishes to the members of the governing council of SCA on the occasion of the installation of its website , and I am sure that this will certainly give a fresh fillip to Association ‘s various activities particularly charity work as envisaged in its memorandum of association among the people at large.
